Highlights of 2024: A Year of Resilience and Growth for PURE
Looking back on 2024, it’s been a year of ups and downs, challenges and wins. After more than 20 years in the industry, we’ve learned how to roll with the punches and adapt to whatever comes our way. This year was no different! Here are some of our favourite projects from the past year.
Embracing Challenges
2024 brought its fair share of challenges—changing markets, shifting customer needs, and tighter budgets kept us on our toes. But we see challenges as opportunities. They’ve pushed us to think differently, hone our skills, and strengthen our relationships with clients who share our passion for what we do.
Highlights of the Year
Despite the challenges, 2024 was marked by several standout projects:
Expanding Our Portfolio: We’ve been busy creating all sorts of videos from brand films, testimonials & case studies, product videos, social media videos, corporate communications, animation, commercials, and event videos. Take a look at the Spark product explainer to see one of our favourites.
Innovative: This year, we embraced new technologies including AI and storytelling techniques to deliver content that resonates, including the growth of our Video Engine subscription memberships for clients wanting regular, cost-effective, hard-working video like Auckland Transport and the Eastern Busway Alliance, (if you need regular video in 2025 Video Engine is the answer).
Global Reach: From brand films for ACT Developments in London to instructional videos for EasiYo and 20 videos for U.S.A-based Atlantic Fellows for Health Equity, we’ve shown that a small Auckland-based video production company can make an impact worldwide. We’re all about creating content that resonates with audiences, no matter where they are.
Client Success Stories: We’ve had the pleasure of working with over 800 brands, helping businesses share their stories in a real and meaningful way—something we’re still passionate about today. One of the standout moments for us was telling Myles’ incredible recovery story, thanks to Inari Medical.
Building Stronger Brands: From eye-catching campaign videos to storytelling content that connects, we’ve been helping businesses like CORE, showcase what makes them unique. Our branding videos are designed to engage audiences and leave a lasting impression.
Strengthening Communities: From uplifting stories to events that unite people, we’ve been creating videos that celebrate and support local communities. Our work is all about inspiring connection and highlighting the strength of community—like the campaign we produced for the New Zealand Food Network, showcasing their incredible 100,000-meal initiative.
Celebrating Change: We’ve been telling stories that challenge the norm and inspire change, shining a light on some unique journeys. Our goal is to create videos that spark new ways of thinking, and the film we made for Serco’s Te Whare o Te Whaiora program really shows what we do best.
Visual delight: Some projects are an absolute delight to film, and our shoot for Carrington Estate on the Karikari Peninsula was a standout favourite. Stunning Northland scenery, classic cars, and a world-renowned lodge made it truly memorable.
Lessons Learned
2024 was a year of change and challenges, but it reminded us how important it is to stay flexible and work together. With many businesses keeping a close eye on budgets, we focused on showing how video can be a smart investment. Whether it’s telling a brand’s story, attracting new talent, or breaking down complex ideas, the right video can connect with people and make a real impact, even when times are tough.
Looking Ahead
As we look ahead to 2025, we’re feeling excited about what’s next. Video is still one of the best ways to connect with people, and we’re ready to help our clients make the most of it. With a fresh focus on creativity, teamwork, and helping our clients succeed, we’re stepping into the new year with a lot of energy and optimism.
